"Letting It Roll" was written to try and capture the feelings and emotions of moving on after a relationship. The song was inspired by the experiences of one of my dear friends and is a way for me to say, 'Everything is going to be alright,' through music. I wanted this song to be a 'window's rolled down on a sunny day' kind of song! Thanks to the friends who lended their talents on the tune: Taylor Weimer (Background Vox/Editing), Todd Clayton (Steel Guitar), Eddie Dowdle (Drums), and Jesse O'Brien (Mixing/Mastering).
"Talk The City To Sleep" is the first song I wrote for my wife, Stephanie. During our first months of dating, we would stay up late into the night talking about anything and everything. I believe we really fell in love through these conversations and one day while she was at work, I wrote this song in about 3 or 4 hours. I played the song at our wedding and it still is a reminder of our strong love and great communication.
"Texas Rose" was written and recorded by my band, Plain As Day. We were a 4 piece country/rock band that gigged all around Colorado between 2016-2018. This song really captured our sound and is a song I love to blast on the radio while reflecting on the good times we had.
"Living The Color Blue" is a song I wrote back in College. I had a bad breakup and literally wrote the song minutes after. I believe it captures the feelings and emotions that surround a breakup. Although I have long since moved on to greener pastures, it's fun to look back on where I was at the time and how confusing young love was.
